Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany-amber with copper-gold highlights and a burnished edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven nose: sun-dried raisins and fig paste nestle with orange peel, cocoa and burnt caramel. Spices bloom: cinnamon, clove over rich, polished oak; hints of leather and tobacco add gravitas. A velvety vanilla backbone and faint roasted nut finish the aroma with a warm, perfume-like invitation.
Palate
Opens with a velvet, full-bodied mouthfeel, a tapestry of dark autumn fruits and toasted almond. Rich sherry sweetness threads through espresso, candied orange, and plum, balanced by sinuous spice and toasted oak. Long, warming finish of chocolate, leather, and clove, with a polished, lingering sweetness that underscores its cask-strength grace.
Finish
Velvet, long finish that lingers with opulent warmth. Rich sherry sweetness coats the palate, yielding dark chocolate, dried fig and orange zest, while toasted oak and spice—cinnamon and clove—carry the finale. Persistent and refined, with a delicate smoky undertone that threads through the fruit and caramel, leaving a luxurious, lingering echo.
