Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze glints and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry perfume floods the nose: raisin and fig mingle with dark cherry, orange peel and burnt sugar. Layered vanilla, toffee and polished oak spice weave through, with cocoa nibs and a subtle tobacco–leather note. Rich, inviting, and distinctly Macallan, inviting anticipation of a long, luxurious palate.
Palate
Velvety, opulent and richly sherried, this Macallan glides across the palate with fig and plum fruit, orange zest and dark chocolate. Cinnamon and clove weave through toasted almond and polished oak, delivering a syrupy sweetness that coats the mouth and lingers in a long, warm, refined finish.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with velvety sherry sweetness weaving through dark chocolate, fig and orange zest. Oak spices linger, supported by a warm, peppery glow that remains on the palate, fading to a refined, resonant afterglow.
