Macallan Gold has been matured in 1st and 2nd fill American Oak and European oak both seasoned with sherry.
These casks have been lightly toasted to bring out notes of vanilla and sweetness. A very drinkable entry level dram.

Colour
Bright golden with warm honey tones and subtle amber reflections.
Nose
Vanilla bean, creamy toffee and honeyed sweetness lead the aroma, with bright citrus zest and dried apricot lending fruit. Lightly toasted oak provides gentle spice and structure, while subtle sherry influence threads through, giving a warm, inviting depth befitting Macallan's approachable 1824 profile.
Palate
Silky on the palate, the Macallan Gold delivers creamy vanilla and luscious toffee with a honeyed sweetness from sherry-seasoned casks. Subtle oak spice and almond notes weave through dried fruit hints, finishing with a gentle, warming sweetness and a clean, approachable finish.
Finish
A warm, lingering finish of vanilla and honey, with caramelized oak and a whisper of sherry. Soft spice lingers, fading to delicate dried fruit.
