Elegant, citrus-bright nose with orchard fruit and vanilla cream; subtle toffee, almond and a touch of spice weave through polished oak, revealing a refined, sherry-tinged richness.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied palate with creamy vanilla and honey, mingled with citrus zest and dried fruits. Subtle spice, almond, and cocoa notes weave through polished oak, yielding a balanced, lingering finish.

Finish

Long, elegant finish with creamy vanilla, bright orange zest and gentle spice, carried on warm, toasted oak. A subtle sherry-softened sweetness lingers, evolving into a refined, silky tail that remains beautifully balanced.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
