The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is characterised by the perfect combination of European and American oak casks, seasoned with sherry wine in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
This expression, released annually, is an impeccably balanced, distinctive single malt with a sweeter character due to the influence of sherry seasoned European and American oak maturation.
Each cask selected in this expression has spent its entire maturation period of almost two decades exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks.

Natural, deep golden amber with honeyed warmth and a soft copper glow.
Nose
Aromas of dried fruit and toffee rise, with candied citrus peel, ginger and nutmeg weaving through a warm, inviting sweetness.
Palate
Raisin, sultana and dried apricot unfold with treacle toffee, vanilla and ginger, complemented by toasted wood spice and baked apple.
Finish
Long, luxurious and warming, the finish delivers warm oak and citrus zest, with vanilla and subtle spice lingering softly as the sherry sweetness persists.
