The Macallan Double Cask 12 year old is aged in a combination of American and European Sherry seasoned oak with more emphasis on American oak than the 12 year old Sherry cask but no Bourbon cask influence as in the fine oak range.
A very soft and creamy Sherry seasoned cask aged Macallan that is much lighter than the 12 year old standard Sherry cask release.

Milky mocha with praline, dried fruit and butterscotch; a creamy, gently sweet aroma with subtle sherried warmth.

Silky, creamy palate with milk chocolate and mocha at the core, unfolding into praline and orange fondant, touched by honey and marmalade, and a delicate echo of Danish pastry.
Finish
A creamy mocha finish, caressed by vanilla cream, with gentle nutty tones and a warming echo of sultana bread.
