The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of Macallan's Sherry Oak Collection which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.
The 2015 release of the now legendary Macallan 18 year old. This years release seems to be even more scarce than the past few years so either there are less bottles on the market or it's a stellar vintage for 2015.

Colour
Light mahogany with a natural, warm amber glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry vibrancy with dried plum and raisin, layered over polished oak. Hints of ginger spice, cocoa, toffee and leather mingle with cedar notes, while a whisper of coffee adds depth. A warm mahogany glow hints at age and richness.
Palate
Full-bodied and luxurious, with mature oak underpinning warm ginger spice and dark raisin sweetness. Sherry-driven depth adds velvet texture and a long, lingering finish.
Finish
Long, velvety finish of toasted oak and ginger that lingers with dried raisin sweetness. The sherry influence blooms on the palate, leaving a warm, refined spice and a hint of cocoa before fading to a quiet, mahogany-tinged finish.
