Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery-amber with mahogany edges and a luminous garnet-tinted core.
Nose
Opulent sherry bloom with dried fruits—figs, prunes, and sultanas—interwoven with orange zest and dark chocolate. Layered vanilla, toffee, and polished oak provide structure, while cinnamon and clove spice adds warmth. A whisper of leather and tobacco lingers, rounding into a rich, inviting, long-formed aroma.
Palate
Silky and generously oily on the palate, it opens with bright citrus zest and orchard fruit, deepening into dried fig and raisin with sherry-dark edges. Nutty almond, cocoa, and toasted oak weave through a waxy malt, while spice—cinnamon, white pepper, a touch of clove—lifts the profile. The finish is long and refined, dry, with lingering oak, spice and a subtle coffee-nut note.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish is sherry-woven and softly treacle-like. Dried fig and raisin sweetness coats the palate, with cocoa and toasted almond adding depth. Spicy oak notes—cinnamon and clove—emerge as a gentle warmth lingers, guided by a subtle mineral backbone. The memory of Teaninich’s single-cask profile remains, leaving a caramel-tinged, persistent glow.
