Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with coppery edges and a honeyed, sunlit glow.
Nose
Salted sea air and a briny mineral spine rise first, inviting waves of fresh barley and green apple. Subtle peat smoke lingers, joined by touches of almond, dried fruit, and a whisper of sherry sweetness. The aroma unfurls with coastal wax and a delicate oak polish, promising a bright, balanced dram.
Palate
Soft peat and coastal brine rise with a whisper of sherry. On the palate, warm peat marries salty sea-air with toasted barley, notes of dried apricot and fig, and a gentle vanilla-almond sweetness from the cask. Subtle spice and oak carry a clean, lingering finish of smoke, salt, and quiet sweetness.
Finish
Long, elegant finish where coastal peat lingers with a sherry‑tinged sweetness. Dried fig and raisin unfold, tempered by toasted almond and cocoa, while a saline edge and gentle oak spice drift through the finale, leaving a refined, lingering warmth.
