Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and mahogany edges.
Nose
Sherried richness with dried fruit: raisins and fig mingle with orange zest and toffee. Velvet vanilla and cocoa from the oak rise beside a subtle peat-smoked edge and sea-salt brightness, evoking Campbeltown’s maritime character. Spiced warmth from nutmeg and clove graces the aroma, finishing with soft leather and elegant sweetness.
Palate
Softly peated and coastal, this Springbank unveils creamy vanilla and toffee, giving way to dark dried fruit—figs, raisins, cherries—from the sherry cask. Walnut, cocoa nibs and toasted almond add depth, with sea-salt and a whisper of smoke. Peppery spice warms the mid-palate, and the finish lingers long with oak and sherried warmth.
Finish
Long, warming finish with sherried dark fruit, figs, and raisins intertwining with cocoa and coffee notes. A whisper of leather and spice trails behind, touched by sea-salt nuance and a final breath of oak. The 50% ABV clads the fade in a warm, velvety echo that lingers gracefully.
