Sandeman's 2018 Vintage Port is a classic expression of one of Portugal's most prestigious wine styles. Crafted only in exceptional years, Vintage Port represents the pinnacle of the Port house's winemaking expertise, with carefully selected grapes harvested from the finest vineyards in the Douro Valley.

The 2018 release combines impressive concentration with freshness and balance. Dense fruit, floral complexity and beautifully integrated tannins create a wine that can be enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit character or cellared for decades as it continues to evolve.

It all started in 1790 when the 25-year-old son of a Scottish prosperous cabinetmaker asked for a £300 loan from his father to set up as a wine merchant in London. This ambitious young man was George Sandeman, the founder of Sandeman, who ended up establishing one of the world’s leading Port and Sherry wine businesses.
