Dow’s 1970 Vintage Port comes from one of the great declared Port vintages of the 20th century and was bottled in 1972. After more than five decades in bottle, it has developed into a beautifully mature expression, with red fruit, fig and prune joined by cinnamon, molasses and gentle spice. The palate remains rich and creamy while retaining the firmer, relatively dry finish traditionally associated with Dow’s Vintage Port, making this a particularly impressive bottle for collectors of mature Port.
