Part of the 'Explorer Series' from Sailor's Home, Journey - A Triple cask aged Irish Whiskey, triple pot distilled, a mash bill of malted and unmalted Irish barley and oats.
The original Sailor's home was built in 1856 to provide welcome and sanctuary to seafarers on their journeys. This particular expression is matured in Virgin American oak, then recasked in American Bourbon and Jamaican Rum Casks resulting in a tropical fruit heavy dram.

Colour
Rich amber with coppery highlights and honey-gold glow, a sun-warmed bronze that gleams in the glass.
Nose
Silky butterscotch leads the bouquet, framed by toasted oak and dark rum notes, a warm, tropical-tinged aroma that invites indulgence.
Palate
Sticky toffee sweetness coats the palate, a rum roundness lending warmth and velvety depth. Malt depth remains steadfast, with roasted grain and oak weaving a graceful, lingering balance.
Finish
Ripe banana, molasses and vanilla linger in a tropical, warming finish.
