The first release from Sailor's Home, The Haven - A Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, triple pot distilled, a mash bill of malted and unmalted Irish barley and oats.
The original Sailor's home was built in 1856 to provide welcome and sanctuary to seafarers on their journeys - a haven. This particular expression is matured in American Bourbon casks and then finished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry for a rich, fruity dram.

Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Honeyed oak envelops bright green grapes, with a thread of warm spice weaving through the aroma for a welcoming, subtly fruity invitation.
Palate
Silky, creamy on the palate, with warming pot-spice notes complemented by roasted almonds and vanilla, delivering a rounded, nutty sweetness and quiet depth.
Finish
Brown sugar lingers on the palate, giving way to ripe black cherry and a chorus of berries. The finish settles in with a warm, plush fruitiness that echoes the sherried richness of the dram.
