The 5th release in the Icons of Wales series which is presented in a rather spectactlar Red velvet / flocked bottle.
An Ex-Bourbon cask aged whisky bottled at 41% abv.
Launched on the 29th of November 2016 and celebrates Welsh opera singer Bryn Terfel and, more specifically, his favourite role, Falstaff.
The whisky is well-rounded, spicy and sumptuous and we have brought a theatrical element to the design, all of which reflects the character of Falstaff.
If this was a SMWS release they would have named this "Bon Bons in an old fashioned sweet shop" a real cream soda of a Welsh single malt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with a warm, honey-toned glow.
Nose
Banana milkshake and vanilla cupcake icing drift with cream soda and red apple, a whisper of menthol, pale wood shavings, and a touch of floral spice.
Palate
Toasted waffles with vanilla ice cream melt into milky rice pudding and clotted cream. Poached pears drift in aromatic stock syrup, chased by green-apple acidity and a late, minty-peppery touch of oak spice.
Finish
Sugared almonds and white chocolate linger, with pear drops and pick-and-mix fizzy spice drying into vanillin oak.
