The 10th in Penderyn's Icons of Wales edition whiskies is called Yma O Hyd. This is the patriotic anthem adopted by the Red Wall (Welsh football supporters), and is produced in partnership with FA Wales as their official Whisky for the 2022 World Cup. This limited edition Welsh Single Malt Whisky was matured entirely in American Rye casks.
Fragrant and floral aromas with hints of baking spices, toffee, caramel, baked apples and pears. Very smooth on the palate with continued notes of sweet caramel, sultanas, baked apple and cinnamon. These sweet flavours are chased by pepper and oak spices with a hint of ginger and cloves. The prevalent sweet caramel notes continue into the finish with herbal notes and peppery spices.
