The Michel Couvrer whiskies are Scottish whiskies that are shipped over to Burgundy in France and matured in a variety of wine casks. This "Candid Malt" is a blended malt whisky matured in sherry casks. This expression is buttery on the palate, very rich and also has a hint of peat. Bottled at 49%.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Buttery malt loaf, oranges in cognac, figs, sundried raisins, polished leather, smoked grapes soaked in cognac.
Palate
Big sherry wood nutty, dried fruit delivery with sweet spice, orange, dark chocolate covered raisins, frangipane with fig jam and some peppery smoke.
Finish
Aromatic tobacco, rich buttery fruit cake or malt loaf, sherry soaked raisins, black grape and ripe fig, dark honey and rich polished oak.
