This is the entry level blended malt in the Macnair's Lum Reek range. Matured in a combination of first - fill Bourbon, Virgin oak, Olorroso sherry and red wine casks.

Great value blended malt whisky with flavours of barley sugar, shortbread biscuits, vanilla, spice and a kick of drying peat.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant amber-gold with coppery undertones and a warm, honeyed glow, deepened by sherry-cask influence.

Nose

Barley sugar and shortbread lead the nose, a creamy sweetness lifted by vanilla and gentle spice. Oak carries sherry-soft dried-fruit signature with hints of red-wine fruit, finishing with a drying, subtle peat smoke.

Palate

Silky on the palate, it opens with honeyed barley sugar and shortbread, tempered by vanilla from first-fill Bourbon and virgin oak. Spice adds warmth, while Oloroso sherry and red wine bring dried-fruit depth. A drying peat kiss lingers, finishing bright, polished and inviting.

Finish

Long and refined, the finish unfolds with vanilla and barley sugar, slowly yielding to spice. Drying peat leaves a warming trace, while sherry- and red-wine cask nuances linger alongside toasted oak for a persistent, elegant finale.
