Ledaig Time IV Edition Whisky 11 Year Old
Out of stock
Back in the day [1798], Tobermory was originally called Ledaig. After bankruptcy in 1975, Kirkleavington Property purchased Ledaig and established Tobermory distillers, re-opening the distillery as Tobermory in 1979. From then on the Ledaig name was only used to indicate peated whisky from the now renamed Tobermory.
This is an independent bottling from The Whisky Exchange with only 319 bottles released.
One for fans of peat smoke, the seaside and beach bonfires.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Sunlit amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold core, deepening to a warm tawny rim.
Nose
Sea shores and poolside warmth mingle with the tang of lime zest, then bacon-tinged smoke and fresh green leaves rise in the breeze—an intensely maritime, peat-driven nose.
Palate
A pile of pine needles and earthy depth opens, quickly giving way to sweet peat smoke, salted caramel and orchard fruit—apple and pear—kissed by icing sugar.
Finish
Spicy smoke, dark chocolate and pine, fading to sweet black liquorice with a grind of pepper.
