Ledaig Isle of Mull Single Malt Whisky 1979 Vintage
Out of stock
A very scarce Ledaig distilled back in 1979 which we personally think is vastly underrated.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a rich caramel glow and mahogany-tinted rim.
Nose
Rugged peat smoke floods the nose, with salty sea air and iodine, a touch of ash. A refined sherry warmth unfurls—prune, raisin and dark chocolate—woven with leather, old oak and a maritime, lingering depth.
Palate
Coastal peat rides sea-salt and a warm sherry sweetness across the palate. Dried fig, raisin and prune mingle with leather, cocoa and toasted spice, while subtle oak lends structure. The 43% ABV carries a balanced, chewy body, finishing with lingering smoke, mineral notes and a bright whisper of orange zest.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with coastal brine and embered peat. Subtle sherry sweetness threads through dark fruit, cocoa and leather, while cracked pepper and oak leave a warming, mineral kiss that lingers on the tongue like sea air at dusk.
