Balcomie Cask Strength is a limited edition bottling from the Kingsbarns Distillery. This sweet and fruity Single Malt was matured in American oak butts that were previously used to age sherry within a traditional solera system. This means that the harsh wood characters have been removed, resulting in an elegant whisky where the sweet spirit is balanced perfectly by gentle sherry notes of the cask which nurses it to maturity.

Opulent and inviting, the nose opens with honeyed orchard fruit—pear and apple—swathed in vanilla and gentle toffee. Subtle almond and dried apricot hint at sherry-cask influence, while a bright citrus lift keeps the aroma fresh. Clean, refined, with a warm, creamy oak kiss.
Palate
Bold, cask-strength sweetness coats the palate with ripe orchard fruits and honeyed apricot, tempered by a gentle sherry echo from the cask. American oak keeps the fruit vibrant, delivering a creamy, silky texture with subtle almond, toffee and spice, and a lingering, refined warmth without harshness.
Finish
Long, warming finish with delicate sweetness and gentle sherry notes. The fruit-forward spirit tapers to soft oak and subtle spice, leaving a refined, lingering sweetness that nods to maturity and balance.
