Aged in American white oak and a combination of 6 different types of French oak (Vosges, Bertranges, Jupilles, Allier, Troncais and Limousin if you are interested?). A well made and well balanced offering. This has a great combination of sweet fruit flavours, abundant wood spice, and subtle hints of smoke.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with honeyed bronze highlights.
Nose
Aromatic berry fruits mingle with toasted hazelnuts and aniseed-spice, blueberry muffins and lemon balm. Smoke is present but subtler than Jura’s 10- or 12-year-old expressions, finishing with toasted toffee and vanilla wafers.
Palate
Thick, creamy mouthfeel coats the palate with blueberry and forest fruits, entwined with toffee, hazelnut and praline, punctuated by ginger biscuit. A solid oak frame holds it, with a subtle smoke unfolding toward the finish—hot chocolate by the bonfire.
Finish
Bitter chocolate lingers with orange marmalade, French toast and toffee apple, edged by charred wood and a final kiss of red berry tea tannins.
