Product Description
This single malt was distilled at Imperial distillery in 1995 and aged for more than 24 years in a single barrel, yielding a total of 127 bottles. Floral, candied and mellow, this Imperial is a delight for the senses and a pleasant apératif to enjoy before a meal with friends. from speyside
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - A floral bouquet – trumpet lilies and honeysuckle. Next wafts in some sugary cherry cola and strawberry biscuit crumbs, followed by crunchy toffee popcorn, gooey marshmallow and dusty sherbet lollies.
Palate - Sticky pain d’épices mingles with crumbly custard tarts, followed by an explosion of floral fruitiness in the form of juicy nectarines, delicate elderflower, perfectly ripe guava and over-brewed rooibos tea.
Finish - Botanic notes of peony and saffron are encompassed by luscious pears and demerara sugar cubes, followed by a lasting aromatic spiciness, reminiscent of pink peppercorns.
