Tasting Notes
Colour
Burnished amber with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany, a warm golden-bronze glow hinting at sherry-cask maturity.
Nose
An opulent winter bouquet of blackcurrant squash and mulled wine, lifted by Christmas spices and bright orange liqueur, with plum jam on toast; mocha and aromatic oak mingle with incense, cinnamon, ginger and raisin.
Palate
Black cherry jam on dark sourdough toast, stewed plums, cinnamon, toasted oak, charred chocolate, orange fondant, with peppery anise, rhubarb and custard.
Finish
Black forest fruits fade into a festive spice finale—mulled-wine warmth, ginger bite, and praline sweetness, lingering into chocolatey truffle.
