Out of stock
The first release in the new Bond house No 1 collection from Glenmorangie is Grand Vintage Malt 1990, which was a memorable year for Glenmorangie as it was the year in which Warehouse No 1, where the Distillery’s casks of maturing spirit were kept, was transformed into a majestic still house, renowned today for having the tallest stills in Scotland.
Scoring a massive 94/100 points and a liquid gold award in Jim Murray's whisky bible
"Grand by name, grand by nature..almost.For a malt this outstandingly good, it really should have been at 46% minimum."
Replaces the now delisted 25 year old release.
The trademark distillery fruit to the fore here, beautiful balance of Ex-Bourbon casks and a small percentage of Sherry casks working in perfect harmony to deliver a faultless Glenmorangie.
The whole package/box/presentation is on point too!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a subtle copper glint.
Nose
Ripe orchard fruit leads the nose, with honeycomb, elegant spices, and mellow oak, rounded by golden syrup sponge and vanilla custard. A hint of honey on brown bread and soft meringue with caramel and vanilla cream lingers in the background.
Palate
Mandarin cheesecake and white chocolate mingle with cinder toffee, orchard fruits and apricot jam. Soft, elegant oak supports gentle spice, while nougat, walnut whips and buttery toffee linger in a refined, mouthwatering finish.
Finish
Very elegant and juicy, the finish floods the palate with ripe fruits, a gentle sweet aromatic spice, and a subtle mocha and walnut note.
