Classic 12 is the signature expression from the iconic Speyside distilery and is the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky. With a unique freshness from the same Highland spring water used since 1887, its distinctive fruitiness comes from the high cut point this distillery always insisted upon.

Carefully matured in the finest American oak and European oak sherry casks for at least 12 years, it is mellowed in oak marrying tuns to create its sweet and subtle oak flavours. Creamy with a long, smooth and mellow finish, the 12 Year Old is the perfect example of this distilleries unique Speyside style and is widely proclaimed the best dram in the valley.

Colour

Golden amber with sunlit honey highlights and a pale straw glow.

Nose

Fresh orchard fruit on the nose, green apple and pear mingling with a bright citrus lift. Creamy vanilla and a whisper of honey layer over subtle sherry oak notes, with faint almond and floral hints. Clean, inviting and elegantly balanced, the aroma hints at the whisky’s creamy, slightly sweet profile.

Palate

Silky and creamy on the palate, bright pear and apple fruit mingle with vanilla cream and a touch of citrus zest. Sherry-influenced sweetness adds toffee, dried fruit and gentle oak, delivering a long, mellow finish.

Finish

Creamy, with a long, smooth, mellow finish that lingers softly on the palate. Gentle sweetness gives way to subtle oak spice, leaving a refined warmth and a lasting, silken afterglow.
