Glenfiddich Havana Reserve Wooden Box Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old
Out of stock
One of the top Glenfiddich bottles for collectors as it was banned from sale in the USA due to the Cuba / Havana references and thus consequentially re-branded. Most of these original bottles were consumed (this really is an excellent dram so we're told by Glenfiddich experts) so this is now a very rare bottle to find indeed. This particular example is even scarcer as it is presented in a very high quality embossed wooden box which has a leather strap closer.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with warm honey-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry-laden nose with orange zest, fig and raisin, folded into dark toffee and cocoa. Velvet oak brings vanilla and spice, with cinnamon and clove, while tobacco, leather and cigar box notes lend Havana-inspired depth.
Palate
Silky and refined, this 21-year Glenfiddich coats the palate with sherry-softened fruit and spice. Dried fig, blackberry and orange zest mingle with dark chocolate, leather and toasted oak, all carried on a velvety body. The finish is long, warm and complex, drawing in coffee, almond and subtle tobacco as the final echo lingers.
Finish
An opulent, lingering finish that unfolds as a velvet tapestry of dark cacao, dried fig and orange zest, softened by antique oak. Tobacco leaf and cigar-box spice entwine with lingering sherry sweetness, leaving a warm, gently resinous echo that coats the palate with refined, lasting warmth.
