Exquisite dark peated amber in colour.
A beautiful rich, fruity nose-astonishing for a whisky which is over 45 years old. Very sweet, almost toffee apple sweet.
A big whisky, perfect in front of an open fire. It's a real armchair whisky, one that you can sit and enjoy for a very long time. Like a very heavy sherry, or a heavy treacle pudding sprinkled with christmas spices.
The long, rich finish seems to last for hours and oozes toffee sweetness.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Exquisite dark peated amber.
Nose
Opulent, fruity bouquet with pronounced sweetness; toffee-apple notes lead the aroma, enriched by rich sherry fruit, dark raisins and fig. Hints of warm spice and polished oak weave through a luxurious, enduring perfume that lingers in the glass.
Palate
Luxuriously full on the palate, this 45-year Glenfarclas delivers velvety treacle, dark fruit and toffee, lifted by rich sherry notes. Dried orange peel, cinnamon and clove weave through polished oak, guiding a warm, enduring finish of raisin, plum and Christmas-spice sweetness at a stately 46% ABV.
Finish
A long, rich finish that lasts for hours, oozing toffee sweetness. Sherry-soaked fruit and Christmas spice linger as the warmth slowly fades into a comforting treacle glow.
