Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany at the rim, a warm, wine-dark bronze glow.
Nose
Opulent, sherry-forward nose greets with dark dried fruits—raisins, figs, dates—layered with orange zest and treacle. Toasted oak, vanilla and honeyed caramel provide sweetness, while spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—add warmth. Subtle leather and cocoa nibs lend depth, finishing with a stately, festive glow.
Palate
Opulent and richly spiced on the palate, generous sherry-driven fruitcake sweetness folds into dark plum and raisin, with orange zest and burnt sugar. Velvety mouthfeel, accented by cracking cloves, cinnamon, and a hint of cocoa. Palate stays balanced by polished oak and a touch of leather, leading to a long, warming finish.
Finish
An opulent, long finish that clings with dark fig and raisin sweetness, brightened by orange zest and a thread of cocoa. Sherry depth lingers on velvet oak, herbal spice and a whisper of leather, fading to a warm, mineral glow and a final kiss of cinnamon.
