"Although this is a refill sherry cask, it still has an amazing colour, a lovely rich amber bronze.
This is a very fruity whisky-lots of wine comparisons can be made. It's also a very fresh whisky. I suggest comparing this with the Glenfarclas 30 years old, and exploring the differences.
It is a very creamy whisky, peaceful with a little malty sweetness and pear drops apparent at the back of the mouth.
An intriguing whisky that leaves you wanting to try it again. I think i will.
1976 was an excellent year for Glenfarclas- i was born!"

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber bronze with a warm copper glow.
Nose
Fruit-forward and fresh, this opens with orchard and citrus notes—apple, apricot—brightened by a sherry-tinged warmth. Raisin, fig and a hint of almond mingle with vanilla and polished oak, all carried on a creamy malt cloak. The aroma feels elegant and inviting, hinting at refined, old-world richness.
Palate
Creamy, velvety on entry, it unfolds with a bright, fruity core and winey sherry depth. Fresh and lively, it carries gentle malty sweetness and pear drops that linger at the back of the mouth, finishing warm and inviting with a subtle toasted richness.
Finish
An expansive, creamy finish with fruit-forward richness from the refill sherry influence. Pear drops linger at the back of the palate as a gentle malty sweetness fades into a fresh, wine-kissed warmth that coats the mouth and invites another sip.
