Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, sun-warmed amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry bouquet with dried prune, fig and date, brightened by orange zest. Rich cocoa, roasted almond and vanilla weave through polished oak, leather and a whisper of tobacco. Cinnamon spice threads through an aged, cacao-sweet finish—six decades in cask yielding a dignified, lingering aroma.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this 60-year Glenfarclas envelops the palate with raisin, fig and date notes lacquered in rich sherry. Layered with toffee, dark chocolate and orange zest, it carries warm spice and polished oak, finishing long and refined with a touch of leather and nutty depth.
Finish
An extraordinarily long finish unfolds in waves of dried fruit, fig and raisin, braided with dark chocolate and toasted oak. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—persists as the sherry influence lingers, leaving a warm, velvety sweetness that slowly fades to refined almond and oak dryness.
