Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich amber-gold with coppery-bronze highlights and a tawny, mahogany edge.

Nose

Hazelnut puree and dark chocolate form a luscious base, with praline and caramelised orchard fruits weaving through. Aromatic spices, sugared almonds and ripe melon with ginger brighten the nose, finished by a soft note of sultana loaf.

Palate

Mouthfilling and juicy, it delivers honeyed apricot flapjacks, peach melba, and galia melon with ginger, alongside spiced mocha, stewed apple and cinnamon, finished with a delicate dusting of icing sugar.

Finish

Aromas of honeyed vanilla toast carry into a finish of sultanas soaked in pudding wine, grapey barley and a tarte tatin whisper. Velvet, dessert-like sweetness lingers, crowned by vanilla custard and lingering pudding-wine richness, inviting a craving for more.
