Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich mahogany with deep amber depth and coppery highlights.
Nose
Opulent sherry notes envelop the nose, aged to stately perfection. Prunes, raisins and fig mingle with orange zest and toffee, draped in velvet oak. Leather, tobacco and a whisper of dark cocoa deepen the profile, while a nutty almond echo rounds it out. Time-worn richness and singular cask character invite quiet, reverent appreciation.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and gently sherried, this opens with a tapestry of dried fruits—raisin, fig and prune—interwoven with dark chocolate, toffee and a whisper of orange zest. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice rise against rich oak and vanilla, lending warmth and depth. The palate is luxuriant and poised, finishing long with cocoa, fruitcake sweetness and a final hint of leather.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish dominated by rich sherry sweetness, with dried fig and raisin lingering on the palate. Cocoa and dark chocolate unfold into warm spice, orange zest and polished oak, then settle into velvet warmth that fades to faint leather and a final ember of sweetness.
