Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with mahogany depth and a subtle ruby glow.
Nose
Toasted teacakes with thick cut marmalade, treacle tart, gingerbread cake, toasted hazelnuts, sweet spicy oak and rich buttery caramel.
Palate
A bold wave of spicy treacle opens to stem ginger, followed by nutty fruit cake, old-fashioned toffee, mocha and praline, all wrapped in sherry sweetness and a velvety, warming mouthfeel.
Finish
An opulent, long finish of gingercake and honeyed nuts, widening to sticky dates, crème brûlée and praline. Sweet, spicy sherry oak threads through, leaving a lasting, warming echo of confection and oak.
