Released as part of Glendronach’s Batch 18 Single Cask series, this 1992 vintage was matured in a single Port Pipe before being bottled in 2020 at 27 years old. Drawn from cask #5897, it was bottled at 48% ABV with an outturn of 853 bottles.
The Port cask brings an extra layer of richness to Glendronach’s Highland style, adding dark berry fruit, plum sweetness and chocolate depth to the distillery’s naturally weighty character. With nearly three decades in cask, this is a fuller, more rounded expression, where the Port influence sits comfortably alongside notes of spice, oak and dried fruit.

Colour
Dark mahogany with copper-amber highlights and a warm ruby-tinged glow.
Nose
Opulent, velvety nose opens with dark berry fruits and plum sweetness, crowned by chocolatey depth. Port maturation adds glossy sweetness and dried-fruit richness, weaving through warm spice—cinnamon and clove—and polished oak. Hints of fig and raisin mingle with a wine-dark core, delivering a mature, weighty Glendronach profile where port-driven fruit sits confidently alongside oak and spice.
Palate
The palate unfolds with opulent richness: dark berry fruit and plum sweetness blend with chocolate depth, while spice and oak frame the sweetness. The Port cask lends a velvet, silky mouthfeel and dried fruit notes of raisin and fig, yielding a full, rounded profile that carries through to a warm, lingering finish.
