Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones, a wine-dark, port-influenced glow.
Nose
Port-enhanced dark fruits—black plum, blackberry, fig and raisin—mingle with cherry and a kiss of toffee. A sturdy oak backbone supports vanilla, spice and a whisper of leather and cocoa, all lifted by warming, natural strength. Opulent, generous and deeply inviting, the nose promises the depth of a 25-year-old Highland whisky.
Palate
Opulent, full-bodied, with dark plum and fig fruit unfolding into charred oak and warm spice. Port influence adds a glossy sweetness of raisin and cherry, woven through sturdy tannins and a whisky-warm backbone. Cocoa, almond and cacao nibs mingle as spice threads emerge. The finish is long and refined, with lingering fruit, oak and a final, comforting warmth.
Finish
Opulent and long, the finish carries dark plum and blackberry, with port-cask sweetness of raisin that coats the palate. Toasted oak, cocoa and spice emerge, delivering a warm, velvety glow that lingers with a refined, raisin-tinted aftertaste.
