To celebrate the Campbeltown Malts Festival of 2025, Glen Scotia has released a bold and captivating limited edition Single Malt. Crafted for those seeking an unforgettable whisky experience, this heavily peated whisky was aged in bourbon barrels, with an additional 5 month finishing in premium Ribera del Duero red wine casks.

A distinctive maritime character is overlaid with peat smoke, giving a spirit truly representative of the Glen Scotia distillery character. The finish develops the once tropical notes into ripe red fruit, juicy blackberry and a whisper of liquorice, each layer adding depth to its complex character.

(glen-SCO-sha) Glen Scotia was founded in 1832 in Campbeltown, originally under the name Scotia, and is one of only three surviving distilleries in a town that was once known as the whisky capital of the world. It was built by Stewart, Galbraith & Co., later passed through a number of owners, and survived the long collapse of Campbeltown whisky when most of the town’s distilleries disappeared. Its 20th-century history was not especially smooth either, with closures and intermittent production before a return to regular operation by 1999.
