(DUFF-town) Dufftown Distillery, located in the heart of Speyside, was established in 1896. The distillery is known for producing light, fruity single malts with subtle spice and floral notes. Dufftown plays an important role in contributing to blended whiskies, particularly Bell's, one of the UK’s best-selling blended Scotch whiskies. The distillery’s name comes from its location in the town of Dufftown, a place famously home to several other distilleries, giving rise to the local saying, "Rome was built on seven hills, Dufftown stands on seven stills."
