Tasting Notes
Colour
An inviting spectrum of warm amber tones, from pale straw to sunlit copper, a golden, whisky-bronze glow.
Nose
Coastal and commanding, the nose opens with sea-salt and iodine on waxy malt, a whisper of smoke curling in the air. Subtle citrus zest and vanilla sweetness lift the peat’s edge, while maritime minerals and a faint medicinal note linger—pure Campbeltown salinity captured in a refined, lingering aroma.
Palate
Coastal brine, smoky vitality and waxy malt define the palate, with vanilla and orchard sweetness lifting the grain. The set journeys from Kilkerran’s peppery edge through Glen Scotia’s maritime caramel, Springbank’s balanced fruit and malt, Hazelburn’s soft sherried richness, to Longrow Peated’s iodine-peat, finishing crisp, mineral and refined.
Finish
A long, coastal finish that clings with sea-salted smoke and mineral tang. Peat from Longrow mingles with cask-strength warmth, delivering a bright, fruity oak linger that slowly fades into refined sweetness, with a final whisper of briny maritime spice.
