Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with a coppery glow and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
From the silent Caperdonich, sherried richness and orchard fruit lead the nose—ripe figs, dried plums, and orange zest weaving through cocoa and toffee. Velvet oak and walnut add structure, while leather and baking spices drift in the background. At 54% ABV, a lively peppery lift underpins a refined, silken fragrance.
Palate
Velvety and full-bodied, this single-cask dram coats the palate with luxurious sherry sweetness—dried figs, plums and raisins, lifted by orange zest and a whisper of dark chocolate. Spices flicker softly: cinnamon, clove, toasted almond. Polished oak threads through, delivering warmth and a long, elegant finish with tobacco and toffee undertones. 54% ABV.
Finish
Sherried and lingering, the finish unfolds slowly with orange zest and dried fig, drifted by dark cocoa and polished oak. Cinnamon and clove wake the palate, then a long, warm fade of fruit and velvet spice that lingers with refined sweetness.
