Tasting Notes

Colour

A radiant amber-gold with coppery highlights and sunlit honey tones.

Nose

Rich vanilla and caramel dominate, with maple, honey and soft toffee. Subtle oak, cinnamon-spice, and citrus zest brighten a delicate grain sweetness.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied with a bright whisper of vanilla and honeyed corn. Creamy toffee and ample orchard-fruit sweetness weave through gentle oak and a light spice, while citrus zest adds lift on the mid-palate. A polished finish of sweetness tempered by soft, toasted oak leaves a refined, lingering warmth.

Finish

Silky, long finish with vanilla, caramel and maple sweetness, balanced by restrained oak. A delicate rye spice lingers, fading to a warm, refined afterglow.

Canadian Club was founded in 1858 by Hiram Walker in Walkerville, Ontario, on the Canadian side of the Detroit River. Originally known as Club Whisky, it gained its name from the American and Canadian gentlemen’s clubs where it became popular, with “Canadian” later added to the label to distinguish it from competing American whiskies.
