Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery highlights and a wine-kissed ruby glow, deepening into warm mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Coiled peat smoke, sea spray and iodine form a bold, medicinal backbone. Pinot Noir cask influence brings red fruits—cherry, raspberry, a hint of plum—woven with vanilla, cocoa and spice, lending a velvety sweetness to the smoky, maritime aroma.
Palate
On the palate, a bold, medicinal peat smoke coats the mouth, supported by graphite and mineral grip. Pinot Noir cask influence introduces red-fruit sweetness—raspberry, cherry and a touch of plum—woven through the smoke. Rich vanilla and cocoa accrue mid-palate, while a salted, resinous spine keeps it balanced. Long, peppery finish with lingering peat and a final kiss of fruit.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with maritime brine and red-wine fruit from the Pinot Noir casks. Peat lingers, complemented by vanilla, spice and a touch of oak, slowly fading to a warm, cocoa-tinged finale.
