Colour

Deep amber with mahogany depth, a warm copper glow and russet edges.

Nose

Dark chocolate and treacle mingle with crystallised ginger, wet earth and forest floor, rum baba, dark orange, star anise, new leather and polished oak, all carried on a whisper of coastal smoke and generous sweet sherry.

Palate

Old fashioned ginger cake with dark honey, earthy-tobacco smoke and fig jam on brown toast, all underscored by wisps of winter spices.

Finish

Sticky peanut brittle and smoked treacle cling to the palate, while dark figs steep in sweet sherry, complemented by thick, chewy spiced oak and a final kiss of charred orange rind.
