Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich burnished gold, deepened to warm amber with a coppery bronze shimmer.
Nose
Layered peat smoke and sea-salt cling to the glass, bright citrus zest and vanilla weaving through. Rich sherry fruit—raisin, fig, cherry—meets toasted almond, cocoa, and warm oak, finished with a whisper of maritime brine that defines Bowmore’s Islay character.
Palate
Powerful coastal peat coats the palate, cushioned by sherry sweetness. Rich and velvety, with dark chocolate, dried fig, and burnt sugar, brightened by orange zest. Sea salt and iodine weave through, while toasted almond and peppery spice echo the long, smoky finish.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with lingering peat and sea-salt that drift through sherried sweetness. Dark chocolate, dried fruit and toasted oak entwine, giving way to a warm, peppery glow of spice and embered smoke that slowly fades to a coastal whisper.
