Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany-tinged rim.

Nose

Rich blast of tar and menthol, followed by roasted hazelnuts, mocha and smoked chocolate. Figs in salty honey, walnut whips by a coastal bonfire, sherry-soaked raisins, treacle tart and a sweep of winter spices.

Palate

Mouthfilling salty treacle toffee, with sweet BBQ smoke and dark chocolate. Ripe figs and sherry-soaked raisins unfold against a sooty, tarry mouthfeel, delivering a long, warming finish.

Finish

Long, rich and unctuous, the finish coats the palate with salty treacle toffee, smoked Snickers-bar sweetness and a keening edge of spicy hickory smoke, lingering warmly on the tongue and in the memory.
