Tasting Notes
Colour
Near-inky black, a velvet obsidian shade with a subtle burgundy-copper edge when held to the light.
Nose
Opulent Bowmore peat wraps lush dark fruit—prune, fig and plum—driven by sherry sweetness, cocoa and a hint of orange zest. A maritime edge and waxy sherry complete a velvety, indulgent aroma.
Palate
On the palate, a fruit-forward cascade of apricot, marmalade and orange zest greets the tongue, braided with Bowmore’s telltale peat smoke. Rich sherry influence brings dark raisin, fig and cocoa, folded into a velvety, oil-silky texture. Spice and a kiss of sea salt emerge mid-palate, expanding into a long, refined finish of smoke, sweet fruit and polished oak.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of peat-smoked velvet and maritime salt, with dried fruit sweetness lingering—fig and raisin, dark chocolate and toffee, touched by sherry warmth and subtle oak spice.
