Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with bronze-tinged mahogany undertones and a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Aromas of coastal peat and sea-salt smoke rise with refined restraint, edged by iodine and brine. Underneath, honeyed oak, caramel sweetness and citrus zest unfold, hinting at superb maturity and a long, maritime finish.
Palate
Silky, measured palate where Islay peat fuses with sherried richness. Charred ash, sea spray, and burnt sugar mingle with fig, raisin and orange zest. A plush, slightly resinous texture carries cocoa, almond, and spice, finishing long with saline mineral, velvet oak, and a refined warmth.
Finish
Long, maritime finish built on sea-salt smoke and refined peat. Sherry-inflected sweetness lingers with notes of dried fruit and dark chocolate, tempered by warm oak and spice. The coastal minerality remains, fading into a graceful, honeyed fade that echoes Bowmore’s Islay soul.
