Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, dark amber with mahogany and ruby hues, a warm coppery glow.
Nose
Opulent peat smoke interlaces with rich sherry, releasing prune, fig and blackberry beneath a treacled sweetness. Dark chocolate, espresso and toasted oak deepen the aroma, while a subtle saline note and iodine nod to Bowmore’s maritime character. Velvet spice and leather linger, finished with a bright citrus lift.
Palate
Velvety and full-bodied, the palate unfolds with dark fig, prune and raisin sweetness, like treacle-soft fruit meeting smoky depth. Sherry cask maturity delivers chocolate, toffee and espresso nuances that weave through Bowmore’s maritime peat. A touch of sea salt brightens the mid-palate, while ginger and nutmeg spice linger, finishing long with warm, refined smoke and a persistent sherried finish.
Finish
Long, decadent finish where peat smoke lingers with rich sherry fruit—prunes, raisins and dark cocoa. Burnt sugar and orange zest weave through the warmth, leaving a coastal, ember-soft echo that slowly fades with a subtle kiss of salt.
