Malts from Spanish casks bring notes of dried fruit and walnuts, hints of raisin, oak and oranges.

A 12-year-old grain, matured in red wine casks, contributes bursts of red berries. Such individual finery but once combined together, they create a finish that lingers on the palate, with notes of plump grapes and the merest hint of burnt toffee.

The warmth it leaves will make your mind wander and your body yearn for the rays of the sun.

Nose

An elegant bouquet of dried fruits and walnuts, with raisin and orange peel rising through warm oak. Layered atop, red berry aromas from the red-wine–matured grain add a bright, vinous lift, yielding a softly sun-warmed bouquet that lingers on the senses.

Black Bottle
Black Bottle was introduced in 1879 by Charles, David and Gordon Graham, a family of Aberdeen tea merchants who moved into whisky blending. The blend was originally sold in black glass, giving the brand its name, but the First World War forced a switch to green glass when supplies from Germany were cut off. Ownership later passed through Schenley, Whitbread, Allied Distillers, Highland Distillers, Edrington and Burn Stewart, before the brand became part of CVH Spirits following the 2023 creation of the company after Heineken’s acquisition of Distell.
