Colour

Golden straw with a subtle amber glow.

Nose

Delicate peat smoke mingles with creamy malt, releasing ripe apple and pear over vanilla, honeyed oak, and a citrus lift. Subtle spice adds warmth, yielding a clean, approachable Speyside aroma with a soft, inviting finish.

Palate

Silky and approachable on the palate, with a gentle sweetness of vanilla and honey that sits atop creamy malt and toasted oak. Subtle orchard fruit and a whisper of biscuit appear beneath a light peat, lending delicate smokiness and spice. The finish is warm and smooth, lingering with caramel notes and a refined, lasting softness.

Finish

Medium-length and softly warming, the finish reveals vanilla and honeyed orchard fruit, a gentle toffee sweetness, and a lasting thread of spice. Clean, refined, and inviting, it lingers just long enough to tempt the next sip.

(ben-ROM-ach) Benromach first opened in 1900, and is situated next to the railway line in Forres, about 25 miles east of Inverness on the main route to Aberdeen. Like many distilleries that opened around this time, the distillery survived until the 1980s, but with many changes of ownership and extended periods of closure.
